Acoustic report focusing on sound attenuation from external sound sources affecting a detached dwelling.
HA Acoustics were engaged by an owner-occupier to undertake a site assessment of the detached, 1960’s property, to determine typical external noise sources, type of property, build, construction and indicative levels of sound attenuation.
Following survey, we were tasked with producing a report detailing further sound insulation methods, with regard had to cost. The report detailed products, installation methods and suppliers details. Our recommended improvements included replacing the antiquated double-glazed units, with a high spec acoustic laminate double-glazing, acoustic trickle ventilators, installing acoustic extractor fan cover, installing loft insulation and acoustic boarding and replacing the internal hollow core doors with solid timber.
The client was extremely pleased with the end result.
