ENTERTAINMENT NOISE IMPACT ASSESSMENT – OUTDOOR AMPLIFIED MUSIC

HA Acoustics were engaged to undertake an entertainment noise impact assessment and make recommendations on the control of amplified music for events held within a marquee or outdoors.

A suitable noise criteria and noise monitoring methodology was agreed in advance with the local authority. Then a 24hour background assessment to determine the local noise climate, followed by an entertainment noise impact assessment was undertaken to determine the maximum internal and proxy position music noise levels, so as to meet the noise criteria. HA Acoustics provided details of physical sound amelioration measures and noise management controls, so as to ensure that local residents did not suffer loss of amenity.

The successful outcome saw  the wedding and corporate events venue obtained planning consent for marquee and outdoor events.
