Engaged by the East-anglian, planning agent, Strutt & Parker, Healthy Abode were taked with undertaking a noise impact assessment for the proposed site of a children’s Adventure Park, with outdoor learning centre.

Given that the type of proposed planning activity, differed to the norm, Healthy Abode contacted the Local Authority’s Planning and Environmental Health department and agreed a suitable noise criteria and methodology in advance.

The methodology set out to capture representative sound levels in the vicinity of the nearest noise sensitive premises; so as to determine the background (LA90) and ambient noise climate (LAeq,8hour) for a typical 8-hour operating period. The report referenced World Health Organisation and BS8233 levels inside homes and for residential gardens/outdoor amenity.
