Commercial EPC
A Commercial EPC also termed a non-domestic EPC was introduced by UK Government to help improve energy efficiency across commercial units. A Commercial EPC is mandatory for dwellings when being sold or let out.
Commercial EPCs function similarly to the energy labels on new appliances, offering a clear and color-coded snapshot of a building’s energy efficiency.
The energy efficiency of a building is scored, ratings from most energy efficient, A to least energy efficient G. A commercial premises utilises significant amounts of energy during the working day due to powering heating systems, mechanical ventilation, cooling and equipment. The EPC rating enables commercial building operators and tenants to make energy comparisons between properties and save money.
